We went island hopping this past year! La Jolla Taiko’s annual Taiko Beats concert sailed into La Jolla this past October. Leaning into music and rhythms from island all around the world, Shimajima Kara (From the Islands) featured not only taiko from Japan, but also some fun surprises from the Caribbean, the Polynesian Islands, and even the Philippines!

Admission was free, but donations to support our efforts are always appreciated!
